No 0 (Circa 1901-02) | |||||||||||||||
Circa 1901-02 hand painted tin in black with gold striping, the tender has NO bunker and the stack is black. cast iron tender wheels. Similar to No 3 from this era This is not a track train, it's a clockwork floor train probably made before the fire or just after. It uses the same tin body used on the first small track trains but this one is green. We believe there might be a green track version of this engine but we haven't found it yet. This shell is green but when you see the cutout frame it was done to make a floor train motor fit here. The black example below has the cutout frame but contains a track windup. We haven't seen a green one like this but we have found a couple green tenders. Note the different frame and motor attachment. The black example below has the frame cut but not in the same place? |
