No. 3009 / 3012 Destroyer   (Circa 1922-1927)

The Destroyers were a little different in that they were cataloged with the same numbers over the whole 10 year period. It was the only boat to maintain the same number after it got the new hull. The late variations shown on this page differ from the early version in that IVES revised the superstructure to eliminate the lifeboats, depress the motor access and remove the raised forecastle for the 3012.

Above and below are Late examples of the 3012 Destroyer. The old hull was used on this boat right up until 1927, but it did change in 1922. As with all late boats it had no lifeboats and the center deck with the stacks is recessed.
