No 800 Trolley    (Circa 1909-13)

 The earliest of the clockwork trolleys. The 800 used the body from a princess car with a clockwork mechanism inserted for power. The one pictured above is one of the first as it has a full lithographed base with cross hatching. It also has handpainted ventilators. 

 

First sold in 1908, they didn't show up in the catalog until 1910. Full cross hatched frame, hand painted vents and cream fenders.

This variation is somewhat later in that it has a plain frame and a plain single colored roof. The fenders on the later ones are red.

We assume this must be a very late one where it appears Ives used an 810 body from an electric and put a clockwork mechanism in it. Both the body and mechanism are original and it looks like this was done at the factory. See photo below for bottom view.
