Tender No. 17    (Circa 1930)

Circa 1930 - No lettering except for circular Ives decal on side. Note that this tender has an automatic coupler. The cataloged version of this tender always came with a hook coupler to match the 4 wheels cars. This tender was used in a couple 'Special' sets in 1930 or later. Most likely came with 129-132 cars in orange.

Circa 1930 This blue painted No. 17 came with the 1125 Blue Vagabond engine

Another version of the Blue Vagabond tender except Ives must have run out of decals as this one has a circular gold rubber stamp with IVES in the middle. Note also that this tender has an automatic coupler which means it came from the 8 -wheel Vagabond set and is difficult to find.  The example below also has the automatic coupler, but has the more commonly found decal.
