In 1928 the 3254 locomotive came with both a rare passenger set and a rare freight set. The frame was now die-cast and the color of the cab was cardinal red.

Although not cataloged in either 1929 or 1930, the 3254 was sold with several freight sets, note the lighter color orange and the die-cast frame (early) while the example below has a 1930 box and is the darker orange.

Unusual Cadet Blue engine, only one known - this came with a set of 133, 134 cars also in cadet blue.
