No. 64 UNION LINE 1913-1930 | |||||||||||||||
Circa 1913 (C1) - Early door, early litho, rivet couplers and the internal structure would show three arched spreaders. Circa 1916 (C5) - This car has twist tab couplers, early litho and the 'WAY BILLS" door Circa 1917 (C6) - Type A - M style trucks - nothing but 1917. Circa 1918 (C7) - Big difference here is the new type B - M style truck - it has very crisp detail and one of the earlies ones punched out. 1919 version with cut down frame Circa 1922 (C10) - This car is labeled as 1922 but externally it is very difficult to tell the difference between cars made between 1920 and 1922. Basically this car would have week stamping on the trucks but still have the old coupler with the hole in it. Circa 1923 (C11) - both of these cars have what I call the "halo lettering" This change in the lithograph appears to occur right around 1923 in most of the cars, examples of the above car also exist with the older litho. Circa 1925 (C12) - Halo lithograph with type C - M style trucks. Circa 1930 (C14) - Red roof, halo litho, type D - M style trucks |
