66  Tank Car    (Circa 1910-12)

Circa 1910-11 - Plain non-embossed frame with T trucks and hook coupler. Tank is red litho with black lettering. cap is green (also comes in blue) ends are blue. 

Circa 1912 - similar to tank above, but this one is painted with black rubber stamped lettering. 

This one appears to be re-painted but we believe that it may have been done by Ives. The ends are stamped T.L. No. 66 just like the dark gray versions and the gold striping is visible on each end. The color also matches the one pictured above it.

Circa 1910-11 - Another early variation the tank is gray with black details. It has early shellacked T trucks, hook couplers. blue cap and ends.

This example has butterscotch body, green cap, red ends and a gold stripe on the frame.  

Circa 1912 - Cream with butterscotch details, green cap and red ends. Non-embossed green frame with automatic couplers and T Trucks. Below is a similar variation from 1910-11, although it has a red cap and shellacked T Trucks.

 

Circa 1912-  flat frame and nickel wheels, but on this one the tank sits on a cradle, the example below is also from 1912 but it has no cradle and uses the earlier litho.

Note auto couplers and no cradle

Circa 1912, automatic couplers but non-embosed frame.
