The 569 was pictured only in a few catalogs and only once in color. That being 1930 when it was shown in green. The picture above may or may not be an early version, although it has the early frame, this frame was used on and off probably up until 1921 or later. It would seem reasonable that any lumber car circa 1913-1915 would be black with red stakes, at least the 50, 60 and 120 series were. this one is brown which is a color found on later lumber cars and may be from that period.
