Circa 1912: Very rare early caboose. This car is a floor toy and probably was never made as a track piece. The floor version was cataloged in 1912 only with the smallest set. The example pictured above is in fact one of 3 surviving examples we know of.  The original roof was missing from this car and it is unknown what it may have looked like. All of these late floor toys are very flimsy and almost always show up minus the roof.
