125  Box  / 124 Refrigerator Cars    (Circa 1910-18)

Circa 1910-1911 - The 124 Refrigerator above and the 125 Merchandise Car below were probably the only box cars made prior to 1915. These earliest models can be identified by their T-trucks, hook couplers, flat frames, inside door guides and lithographed roofs.

Circa 1912-1913 - No change in the car bodies but they're now on High Marklin trucks with automatic couplers. Below is the same car with a painted door.

No 125 circa 1912, note auto couplers, high Marklin trucks and flat truss rods, Below is a similar car with a painted roof.

Circa 1913-1915 - Another one of those unusual painted cars, the Merchandise Car above is painted green with white rubber stamping and a painted roof,  Below is another example but this one has a lithographed roof.

Early Cotton Belt Route

Circa 1914-1918 - An early herald car, we believe the high Marklin trucks were used on these cars after the 6" cars had been converted over the the lower M-style truck.
