No. 63 Gravel Car 1913 - 1930

Circa 1914 (Q2) -  Darker green than 1915 variation below.

Circa 1915 (Q3) - Light green

Circa 1916 (Q5) - T-Trucks, twist tab couplers, tan and maroon litho

Circa 1917 (Q6a) - smooth sided early M-Style trucks

Circa 1917 (Q6b) - Same construction as Q6A, but note color change.

Circa 1918 (Q8) - cut frame, no truss rods

Circa 1922 (Q10) - Could be 1920-1922, more detail on trucks than 1923, capacity still marked 100,000

Circa 1923 (Q11) - Capacity now listed as 150,000

Oops - I guess the quality control guy was off sick this day.

Circa 1925 (Q12a) - type C, M-style trucks

Circa 1925 (Q12b) - This 1925 variation is painted and rubber stamped.  If like the passenger cars the 60 series freights didn't come with journals until 1928 then the example below with this same rubber stamped body would not have been produced until 1928.

Circa 1928 - This picture was not part of Rich's original grid, but we found it with a 1928 only set.

Circa 1929 (Q13) - type D, M-style trucks, 1929 Rivet

Circa 1930 (Q14) - type D, M-style trucks, 1930 Rivet

Circa 1930 (Q15) - Same as Q14 except for color

Circa 1930 (Q16) - Same as Q15 except painted and rubber stamped. Example below appears to be lighter green but may have just faded. Note that the lettering is irregular as the number '63' was a separate stamp. Each end was also rubber stamped "Made in the IVES Shops".

Here's a somewhat different variation 'THE IVES RAILWAY LINES' stamped at one side end.
