Circa 1905-1906 - Earliest example of the No. 120 Platform with its TWO etched plates, white diamond roof and red hex base. Note also the girder fencing which is present but missing on 75% of these that you find. Note the plates on the one below which reads "PASSENGER" and "STATION", we think this is earlier than the one above, but can't prove that.
Another example of an early No. 120, this one has two unusual benches which we're not sure if they are original or not. Circa 1907-1909 - Single plate, red diamond roof, wood stained posts and the rarely seen and beautiful red hex base with gold highlight The catalog never show these platforms with a bench but they do show up and appear to be original. Circa 1908-1910 - Somewhat later No. 120 Platform, note single plate on green diamond roof, red hex base, the small metal plate dating it to just prior to 1910 production. Side view below.
The latest of these No. 120 platforms we've seen is the one above with the double hex roof. |
