No. 119 Platform (Circa 1905-14) | |||||||||||||||
Circa 1905-1906 - Early indicators are the two signs "SUBURBAN" and "STATION", also note the early posts when compared to later ones. White diamond roof with red hex base.
Circa 1905-1906 - Note that the plates on this one are blue and read "PASSENGER" and "STATION". Compare it to the one above and below
Circa 1907-1908 - Single sign "SUBURBAN STATION", green diamond roof, white hex base, later wood stained posts.
Circa 1907 - 1908 - Similar to previous platform, but red diamond roof with red hex base. Circa 1909-1910 - Similar to above - the only thing that gives it away is the small etched plate in the middle of the base which reads "The Ives Minature Railway Lines" These platforms were listed in the catalog until 1914. We have seen one example with the double hex diagram on the roof, but have never seen one with a painted roof or base.
Above example is very late with the double hex litho pattern
Above is closeup of plate found on these platforms and others. Below is close up of small plate found on base of almost every accessory circa 1908-09.
This late 119 platform was shown just this way in the catalogs from 1911 on. It came with no plates. These late platforms are actually very rare. |
