1502 Sets |
The 1502 has always been sort of a mystery, but original sets have been found with two Brooklyn cars with floor train bases and track wheels. This engine has also been found with a Chicago Flyer tender. I believe I have found this set shown in a 1912 Montgomery Ward catalog, I believe this set and ones like it with different Brooklyn style cars was sold from various department stores during the 1912-13 era. The locomotive and the embossed number are quite different from other clockworks of the time and I believe the casting could very well be something that American Miniature might have had in leftover stock with then went out of business in 1911, they were also located in Bridgeport. |
