RED number plates, smooth straight boiler, 0-4-0 wheel arrangement, 3 boiler bands. The one above and at the bottom are only 6 1/4 inches long. The example directly below is the later LONG no. 11. Apparently Ives figured out it was cheaper to just use the same casting for the No. 11 as the No. 17. Frontal view of the red plate 11 with it's tender. The example above is the short version. Here are a couple red plate 11s side by each. Note the different pilots. Here's an unusual red plate No. 11; long cab with a reverse and a brake. Basically it's a No. 20. |
