No 25 (4-4-0) (Circa 1916-17) | |||||||||||||||
Similar to the previous model. This one is circa 1916 with it's cast 10-spoke pilot wheels, the one below appears identical except the motor plate here shows 1917. The motor plate on this one reads 1917, but it has a plate and tin wheels, could be typical Ives or some collector switching clockworks. The motor plate for this one says 1917. The biggest change here is the change from number plates to rubber stamped lettering. Looking more like a No. 20 than a 25 is this four wheeler. Note the square top cab windows, but the number stamped on it is definitely 25 and the motor plate is etched 1917. We can't explain this one, except it's an early No. 25 (1906-09) right down to it's motor and pilot wheels but it's rubber stamped "IVES No. 25". |
