Some examples of this first plated example have been found with the earlier 4 wheel tender, either Ives used some of the old tenders up first or this locomotive may have first appeared in 1909.
Circa 1911 - This example has the rivet and pipe boiler, but still has a hook coupler. Below is the same engine with its correct tender.
