Circa 1908-09 - never shown in any catalog, was listed in Price list for 1909. The example above (both pictures) appears to be an early version with full hatched frame, butterscotch/cream striped roof and door, brake wheel on one side. The car below would be later with its plain frame and painted roof.
Another 'late' one - probably 1909 or later. Note the lettering on end "Ives Miniature Railway Lines"
The car above is sort of army green, with black highlights while the car below is cream with brown highlights - both appear to be circa 1909-10. The car below never had a door and was originally intended to be a floor train.
Here's a picture of an early Stock with its hat off. Note how Ives used the butterscotch litho stock to make the door guides. This example has a plain frame (type V) with a red roof. |
