Note red roof and yellow lettering Circa 1927 - Red / dark red with yellow lettering, brass journals on trucks, below is another variation of the same caboose with a dark blue cupola roof. This is a bottom view of the 1927 caboose above, it has hollow rivets on the trucks and couplers and the fiber board pickup for the lights. End view with roof off of previous 1927 caboose showing light socket soldered over doorway. Not too many of these 2 window caboose - but here's two that appear different. The roof and cupola may be replaced on the one below, but no mistaking the body. The red/maroon above is the usual color the brown below is unusual. Circa 1928 - Two window caboose, note how cupola is moved back on this roof from previous versions. Below is a picture of the bottom of this caboose showing the snake pull couplers.
One more two window caboose, This one is dirty and missing a few parts, but we used the picture because it came right out of someone's garage, before any collectors got to mess with it. Below is the 2 window caboose from the back and an original box.
Circa 1928-1929 - American Flyer body numbered 20-195. Circa 1930 - Above shows the side view of the Lionel bodied IVES 195 caboose, below is a picture of two different color variations, note the shades of blue/green in the cupola and the different shades of red.
